FRIENDSHIP REPURPOSED

Similar to the LOOK MAMA I’M IN MOMA SERIES, this work has a direct physical link to my previous work.  Select pieces from the group installation project, ALLEGORY OF FRIENDSHIP produced in 2012 -- were cut up, cropped and reassembled to create new work.  These repurposed pieces have been given and shared with enduring friends and family as a metaphor for connection and trust.

This series examines both the enduring and sometimes ephemeral nature of friendship -- and the thread that runs between art produced at an earlier time and its re-imagined resurrection.

“A friendship that can cease has never been real.”
